you will need to have quite a lot of length in your hair already, as the layers in this cut are very long all over.it will also help if your hair is straight, as waves would create a totally different shape. the best thing to do isw to go to your hairdresser with as many pictures as you can find. they should be able to do this style, no problem, then pay attention to the way they style it so you can do it yourself at home. by the looks of it he uses quite a lot of wax as the layers are very well definied. also take into account the fact that he has fairly light sections in his hair which adds to the choppy broken up look, this wouldnt be quite the same if your hair is dark.

cool so are you just gonna dye it brown first so that you have the same base colour as charlie? cos i have really dark brown hair but its not black, so i thought it would be pretty much the same just to use that and then put the highlights in.

I want this kind of haircut for a long time now. I''ve already tried to get my hair cut like that three times and still didn''t get the desired result. Last time I even brought the picture with me, guess what, the result was far not what I expected. So be careful in choosing the right hairdresser. My guess is that women''s hairdresser is more suitable for this haircut.

yo max, so u didnt go to a femal hairdresser? thats ur first mistake, second mistake is that u shud have broguht quite a few picyures so they can see wot it looks like all around, third mistake u prob made is u didnt describe ur cut probably. the cut we are all after is a shaggy, laayered cut with heeps of choppy peices and if ur hair is thick u shud have asked them to thin it out for u as well. another thing i recommend is find a hairdresser where not many people go to get their hair done. Y this? think about it, hairdressers have people waiting to be served to get their haircut so if u find one thats not too popular or not inside a huge shopping mall then ur set, their point of focus will be ur hair and ur hair only so theres no rush at all...they can take their time. Hope that helped dude

charlie's hair in general requires straighteners to provide that extra definition and style..
Once you've cut your hair is that style, maintaining it will be pretty high maintenance..It will require straightening combined with the usage of some sort of texturiser (try one with beeswax) to maintain the style and definition

I recommend that you NOT dye your hair before putting in the highlights. This will make it much harder to get the color highlights you want, as the dye in your hair will not be removed by the highlighting process.
