I am in my 50s and in the process of growing my hair long. But it is rather thin and the process seems to be taking a long time.Does anyone have experience with or advice on hair extensions? What type, what attachment, were you satisfied, etc? Thanks.

Dick.....Hair extensions are not good for your hair in the long run. If you just want to "play" with having longer hair for a temporary period...they work ok to give you the long look. Most hair extensions are either hot glued onto your existing hair or may be woven in and actually tied onto your scalp. Either process will almost always "damage" the existing hair and will eventually require you to get a very short cut when you have the extensions removed. The best bet for you is to be patient...get a really good trim every 6 weeks to keep the ends in shape and use the best products that you can afford. It may take longer...but you will be able to keep the new length indefinitely.Good luck.Karen
