Hi Yazy,Cheryl, who posts to this board, has had great luck softening and conditioning her hair with Aveda's Curressence conditioner. So have I.Cheryl has invented a really great procedure where she slathers the Curressence on her hair and then wraps it in a warm towel and lets the Curressence penetrate her hair for several hours.I have personally left Curressence on my hair with a shower cap for about 3 hours and was amazed at how much softer it was.Another idea would be to use Aveda's Deep Conditioner and leave it on in the shower for several minutes. A good hot olive oil treatment would also help soften the hair shaft.A good treatment would be to take some warm, but not hot, extra virgin olive oil, add a few drops (2-4) of rosemary oil or lavendar (which is great for dry or stiff hair) and massage into your scalp and hair. Cover with a shower cap and leave on for several hours. Shampoo with a mild formula and be sure to do a final cold water rinse.Another dry hair conditioner is a Mayonnaise Hair Pack. After your hair is first wet with warm water (to open the hair shaft) apply some real mayo (Hellmans is good) to your scalp and work it into a circular motion. Massage the mayo into the hair shaft and the ends. Cover your hair with a plastic bag and allow the mayo to stay on the scalp for at least 1 hour. Shampoo as you normally would. Repeat weekly if appropriate.Regards,Karen> Hey! I was wondering if anyone could tell> me what to use for my hair. One side is completely> stiff. Even after I get a relaxer it's partially> stiff.
