Does anyone know of a good, safe chemical hair straightener to try? I use products to temporarily help this problem, but want a more permanent effect. I have had it straightened before, but my hair is pretty dry and I don't want to damage it further! Thanks for any info!!

What is your hair texture? It's hard to recommend any hair relaxers that would probably work with your hair type unless we all know what texture it is. Is it fine or coarse, thick or thin, kinky or wavy, etc???Marsha :-)

My hair is thick, naturally wavy, dry and somewhat coarse. I have been growing out my layers, so it is pretty much one-length to about my shoulders. Underneath is really becoming wavy and the top part is flat! I have a mix! I haven't had any kind of permanent in years, just have natural curl. I read somewhere about some new kind of relaxer that is "safe" for the hair, and doesn't cause much damage.
