I just got my hair "dreaded" this week. It's not really long so some hair growth is essential for the full effect.I have never had dreads before and I am not really sure on how to care for my hair. Other than continual twisting and adding bees wax to maintain the twist, what else do I need to do? I haven't washed my hair since Monday (preDread) and it's starting to itch. I don't dare wash for fear of losing the twists. How is this accomplished?

Hi,Congratulations on your new locks. As far as care, why don't you call the salon or place where you had them done and ask their advice on how to care for them. They can probably answer any of your questions. If you want more details about locks I have included a link to a great book that goes into details about dreadlocks and.Best wishes,Karen> I just got my hair "dreaded" this> week.
