Finally it got summer here -and pretty hot! Knowing that sun is bad for (growing) hair - what can I do to best protect it from being damaged? Is there something like sunscreen for hair? I never really took care of my hair in summer until now...ThanX for your help againKay

I've been trying out Phytoplage's sun protection oil this summer and I've been pretty pleased with it. My hair hasn't developed the usual summer damage (which for me is pretty extensive). However, I'm realizing it's not the perfect product for me because I'm outdoors in the desert alot and dust seems to stick to my hair when I use it. :-( Phyto does have some other sun protection products though, and I've heard of other lines that do, but I can't call them to mind at the moment. In Karen's hints and tips section there's an article about sun protection for hair. And of course the cheapest, easiest sun protection is to just wear a hat. I got the part in my hair sunburned this weekend and learned my lesson!-jennifer
