Ok, everything I've read about hair says that each strand has a set life, then falls out and is replaced by a new strand. So what I've always wondered is, for someone with very long hair - if a strand falls out, how fast does the new strand grow? It seems to me that if this process is true, we would all have all different lengths of hair on our heads at one time. Unless the replacement strand grows like crazy....obviously not every strand falls out at the same time, or every three to five years, long-haired people would suddenly become short-haired people again (what a horrible thought).Just really curious about this - how do those replacement hairs grow without making the head of hair a million different lengths a once?Deb
