Cher--Thanks for sharing your hair chronicle; it's a consolation to anyone who has ever had her mane destroyed--by bad water, bad highlights, or a bad perm.As we know, there's nothing worse in this situation than some insensitive jerk remarking, "Your hair looks damaged. You should /do/ something with it." (As if we aren't painfully aware of it already!)The women on this group are wonderfully unselfish to share stories like these. How heartening that we want to /preserve/ one another from making the same mistakes!All best, Ally

Cher,I had tears rolling down my face when I read your article. It reminded me of times in the past when I had to have my hair cut off because of hair traumas.
