Karen,I remember from way back somewhere on your site I saw mention of Basil Oil in some homebrew hair recipe... do you know what kind of properties it has? This weekend I found a hair oil in a health food store that had basil oil as it's main ingredient (also burdock, nettle, jojoba, olive and a few other oils). I decided to try it as I really don't like the scent of aveda's beautifying oil and plain jojoba oil is a bit thick for me. So far I've liked it... but I'm curious about the basil oil.-jennifer j

Hi Jennifer,The basil oil that I used to buy had concentrated basil oil. That was it. Supposedly it stimulates the scalp and helps the hair grown. The oil that I bought did not contain the other ingredients you mention. However, I know that burdock is supposed to be very good for the hair too. I would also mix the basil with olive oil because in concentrated form it was way too intense. The first time I tried it with just a little oil my scalp felt too hot. So I started mixing in a lot more olive oil and that did the trick.I will be curious to hear the results of your new oil. If you decide it is worthwhile please post the brand name. I would love to try it.Thanks for the heads up.Karen> Karen,> I remember from way back somewhere on your> site I saw mention of Basil Oil in some homebrew> hair recipe... do you know what kind of properties> it has?
