Help! I need neat and pretty hair restraints. I have thick long straight hair that I keep at waist length, and I'm very long waisted...but I'm 39. Old enough to want to appear my age without long hair hanging every where. You know, PTA, and business meetings. Stuff like that. I need to hear about some sort of hardware that will hold heavy hair in a bun, or other elegant style besides a braid. I've tried french twists, pony tails, braided buns, piling it up and jabbing it with a million pins, and scrunchies. My hair is too heavy. It slips, slides, and falls askew. I end up looking like I've been pulled through a bush backwards. Any Ideas?

Hi Nancy,I have a hard time keeping my long hair up for any length of time also. The best thing that works for me are hair sticks or chop sticks. I can put them in and my hair will stay however I put it for as long as I want it to. They also come nicely decorated or very plain for whatever mood I am in.Take Care, Noreen> Help!
