I just put olive oil on my hair this morning for a few hours before I wash my hair, and it occurred to me that since olive oil is, well, olive it might make my hair the same color. Any thoughts on this. Also, what makes olive oil so terrific? I remember reading something about oils in this month's Self, but I can't remember which ones have the essential fatty acids. Hmmm... It looks like I am going to have to go dig it out of the recycle pile before the truck comes!

I just left the olive oil on for about 3 hours before shampooing and am happy to report that I am not green. It did do a beautiful job on my hair! It washed right out and left my hair very moisturized but not oily at all. I still would be interested to know though whether the other oils would be as effective. Maybe I'll try another one next.
