I have very fine, thin hair and I need to find a hairstyle that looks good on me and one that I don't have to work very much with. Can anyone help me? Right now I have medium length hair and I have been getting it permed curly for a while. Without perms my hair is totally flat. I have no volume at all to my hair. Please help!Donna

Hi Donna,I just sent you a private email that I did not post here because I included 4 sample hairstyles from the Hair Boutique Gallery and I don't want to slow down the board with adding the photos here.I wanted to also tell you that there are several techniques for dealing with thin, fine hair.1. Adding color or even just highlights will plump up the hair shaft and give it more volume. 2. Perms will also plump up the hair and so it is good that you have been wearing your hair curlier. 3. Hair that is cut is graduated lengths that fall softly around the face is an excellent way to hide the thinness. 4. Hair that is layered softly and then dried with gel at the roots will have lift and fullness. 5. You can also "scrunch" your hair using a good setting gel like Aveda's Confixer or Artec's Texture Gel or KMS Gelatto Gel. This will give your hair more fullness.I emailed you some styles that show the various ways to wear thinner hair in layers and graduated lenghts that are easy to care for and will help your thinner hair looks its best.Last but not least, really shiny hair also adds an element of fullness to any hairstyle. Keep hair well conditioned and shiny and this will be an added "fatness" bonus.Hope this helps.Best wishesKarenPS. Don't forget to keep your face shape in mind when you pick a style. Some face shapes do better with chin lenghts (heart shape for example) whereas other shapes do better with shorter looks (oval).> I have very fine, thin hair and I need to> find a hairstyle that looks good on me and one> that I don't have to work very much with.
