I would like to know if any of you have tried the Nature's Gate Green Tea and Biotin shampoos and the GPB (Glycogen Protein Balancer). My hair is kind of thin and permed. Also, my scalp was extremely dry and itchy. I have been switching back and forth between the two shampoos and my scalp seems to be much better.I would like to know what Natures's Gate conditioner would work best for me. I need something that will moisturize, but not weigh down the little hair that I have. Any suggestions? I would also like to know if anyone knows of a vitamin or vitamins to take for healthier hair? Thanx.

Hi Darcy, My husband really loves the NG Biotin, its his favorite variety and it helps keep what hair he has left on top soft and healthy instead of kind of dry and brittle like it wants to be. That may be what's helping your scalp, but you might also make sure that you're using a filter on your showerhead to remove chlorine which can often make your scalp dry and itchy too. You mentioned two NG varieties I've never seen and I want to try them too! You might want to steer clear of the jojoba variety since you perm. My husband says it tends to make his curls limp.As Karen has mentioned many times, you can't go wrong by including a good hair vitamin supplement in your diet. It really does help, but don't expect immediate results, they take time to be effective. I use extra B vitamins, lots of C, folic acid, A, E, and a complex mineral supplement for general antioxidant help and healthy hair. Don't forget the kelp, blue green algae, wheat germ and assorted other diet enhancers too!Good luck with your hair! And am I reading that right that you just shampoo and don't condition every time? Do others do this too? I can't imagine not conditioning after each shampoo. That simple step alone will make your hair feel MUCH better as well. I've been mocked for being a pawn of the advertisers because I always use the conditioner that goes with the specific shampoo, but you might try that for starters and see if it works for you too.Best wishes to all!Dawn
