I know that Sodium Laureth/Laryl Sulfate is a harmful cleanser in shampoos (It might cause skinirritation and hairloss). Now I wonder if anyone knows if Ammonium Laureth/Laryl Sulfate is dangerous too ?(also common in shampoos)

Butch,I saw your question and looked in my cosmetology book. It says that Sodium Laureth/Laryl Sulfate is supposed to be a mild cleansing agen with laureth bein g the milder of the two. I havent heard of the ammonium laureth sulfate. If you know where I can get information on the damaging affects of the sodium laureth/laryl sulfate please let me know. We will be studying the chapter on product chemistry in the next few weeks and it might make an interesting conversation. Thanks, Angel--cosmetology student
