Hi again,Now this post is not in any way connected to the "goings on" of the other evening, but it is an interesting, but somewhat weird news item.I am always behind on my reading and I was just getting to the August '98 issue of "National Geographic". In the Geographica section (about 21 pages into the mag) there is an article about a chimpanzee that is in a zoo in England who had a major hair loss and health problem. There is a photo of this hairless chimp. It is a very strange sight to be sure, but that is only half the story. The zoo director brought in a local farmwife who deals in natural medicines. She put the chimp on acid-free diet--heavy on cereal, yogurt, brown bread, and apricot jam--and cococted a cream from goat's milk and oils of rosemary, parsley, and marjoram. The chimp's health has returned and so has his hair. The farmwife, Mrs. Brown, is trying her diet and salve on humans. She said her husband is growing hair on a bald spot he's had for 45 years (gosh, I hope it was on his head). She has plans to market the product.I don't make the news, I just report it.Now you "guys" quit laughing, this is a serious post! There are a lot of people who might be helped by this. For a chuckle though, you 'should' check out that pic of the hairless chimp. It is a side shot, so no full frontal nudity.Hairy, the reporter, NOT (Neil)
