Hi Dawn,I want to say that I think your hair is really awesome, and its an inspiration to me to see someone with fine hair with hair lenght like that, while having it look great and healthy. There is hope for me, I feel. I know that it has taken you a long time to get it that long, so I know I have to be patient. Right now, waist lenght would really make me happy. Do you know how long it took for your hair to reach waist lenght? Also, how are you able to go without trims and have it look so good? Do you get split ends? Do you clip any off yourself? Also, I want to compliment you on your hair jewelry. Its is lovely, and the fact that its hair friendly (I am confident of this since I know you use them in your hair and it looks great. I also know how careful you are with your hair.), is ever better. Thanks.Regards,Clare

Sweet girl, you are too kind! Really, Clare, its comments like yours that are the reason I was ever even bold enough to send a couple pictures for others to see. No one but my family usually sees my hair fully down. But I know all too well how hard it can be, especially for gals with, shall we say, less than optimal hair thickness to have the confidence to go ahead and reach for their dreams of having long hair. I see pictures of Noreen and Karen and Cher, and my whole ponytail is about as big as one of their pigtails, if that. So it feels really good when I can help someone else have confidence in their goals too. When my hair was short it was limp and yukky, it just wouldn't do anything, no curl, no nothing, but bad hair days are a thing of the long forgotten past now. Yes, you are absolutely right, just cultivate patience when letting hair grow. I had a bad hair incident when I was 17 and it got chopped to about shoulder length and I guess it was about 4 years or so till it was waist length. If I recall correctly though, it was about to my butt by the time I was, oh, 24 or so, so don't worry, yours will get there. I just never thought about it, long hair isn't so much a fashion accessory for me, it is the essence of who I am and so having it long is really just an end result of a lifestyle choice. Thoughts of cutting it really don't ever enter my mind, its just not something I would do. As for how I keep it this way, I'd say condition, condition, condition. Baby it, care for it. That doesn't have to mean a lot of work though, its something I do during the course of a normal shower, just like anyone else. I also don't allow it to tangle much because I'm always keeping it in line with some hair accessory, or putting it up some way when I'm out running around. I don't however, recommend that anyone never trim their hair, since most people don't like the natural ends and prefer a blunt cut plus conventional wisdom really does indicate that trims are good for the hair. I just can't bring myself to do it. When I was younger my hair always tended toward those whispy ends, no matter how often it was cut so I figure, what's the point! It grows so slowly that I just let it be.Thanks so much for your comments about the jewelry. I really do believe in it so its easy to feel confident sharing it with others. I know it will serve you well!Take care and keep the faith!Very best wishes to all!Dawn
