I am in my 40's and haven't colored my hair for quite some time. When I did color it, I had a lot more body than I do now. I would really like to start coloring it again to gain more body as well as to cover a little gray that I am starting to get. My problem is, over the past couple of years, my skin has become very sensitive. I recently had a patch test done by my dermatologist and discovered that I am allergic to p-Phenylenediamine and its components. This is an ingredient found in many hair dyes. My question is, how can I find out which hair dyes do not contain this ingredient? I would prefer a permanent color rather than semi-permanent. Do beauty salons know what ingredients are in the hair dyes they use? Any response would be appreciated!!! Thanks, Angie
