I just got my hair cut like Gweneth Paltrows yesterday. Though I LOVE the look, my hair is always poofy. I have frizzy wavy hair naturally, its very fine and very thick. I straighten it with Citre Shine Straightening Balm. This makes my hair soft and adds lots of body, with no frizz. Well now its so poofy and wavy, I dont know what to do. I've been clipping it back but that doesnt help much at all. When I got home, my hair person had put SO MUCH stuff in it that it was all over my hands, and my hair was greasy. I dont want that but when it was like that, it looked really good. Pomade might work, but it also is very sticky, greasy, etc. I want it to be thinner, and flatter... Any suggestions?

Heres an idea....I have very similar hair to you, naturally wavy, but i use straightening balms to have that sleek, glossy look. I have been umming and ahmming over whether or not i should get a gywneth look and have decided i can... because i just bought a straightening iron. They are FANTASTIC. Just apply the balm, blow dry and use the iron - it means you dont have to use gels and pomades, ending up with sticky , untouchable hair. The irons are for sale for around $50.00 Australian - if this doesnt work, nothing will!Good luckLauren

Here's another idea. Instead of using the straightening iron. Use A Vidal Sasoon blow dryer w/brush and comb attachment. It has a brush attached to it, so there is no more fumbling with both a brush and blowdryer. Use the straightening balm, along with the blow dryer it is less damaging than the iron. I have naturally curly hair, that can turn out poofy if I don't use this blow dryer, my hair comes out so silky and flat. I couldn't live without it. The blow dryer only costs about 20 dollars depending on where you purchase it.
