I just had highlights added to my hair and think that there is too much of a contrast with my natural dark brown color. I kind of look like "Stripe" from The Lion King movie. Is there a way that they can be darkened so that they look more natural or do I just have to live with them until they grow out? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Janet

They can be darkened by putting a "wash" of your natural color over them and then rinsing it out. It is probably better to have a stylist do this, unless you are very accomplished at coloring your hair yourself. The other possibility would be one of the "color" restoring shampoos from Aveda or Paul Mitchell to sort of drab your highlights down a bit.
