OK... I need help finding an alternate hair-safe tie of some sort to use on my braids when sleeping. Up until now I've been using those little elastic terry cloth circles, but unfortunately they're my cat's favorite toy. Several times in the last month I've woken up in the middle of the night to him trying to tug the bands off my braids... well yesterday he managed to get one off in the middle of the night, swallow it, and throw it up while I was trying to eat breakfast. I can't use the raregems ones, because I need something with out danglies that can get caught in my sheets and blankets. I'd try just using a leather thong... but I have a feeling I'd wake up to the cat chewing on that as well. Any suggestions for other ties that don't have little metal bits? If I go back to sleeping with my hair loose it turns into a wad of knots.-jj

First of all you should stop soaking your hair ties in catnip...Jeff.
