Tomorrow is my monthly appointment with my stylist and I am dreading it. He is never on time. Last time I waited for 30 minutes and was furious but did not have the courage to tell him about it. Unfortunately this happens a lot. Is there anything that I can do to stop this?

Hi,Gee that can be annoying. What I used to do with my stylist who was ALWAYS late was to call about 1 hour before my appointment and ask if he was on schedule and if not, what time I should arrive. The first 2xs that I did that, they fibbed and told me he was not exactly on schedule. I arrived and had to wait. After 15 minutes it was obvious to me that he was about 30-45 minutes behind. I gave the salon my pager number and told them to page me 5 minutes before he was ready and I went shopping and then came back. The 2nd time I told them that I was leaving after 15 minutes. From then on I got a very accurate update of his lateness and would always show up just 5 minutes before he was ready for me. I used to really like the way he did my hair and so I tried to find a workable solution for me.I also made appointments where I was the first of the day on Saturdays because he tended not to be late starting. My current stylist is always right on schedule and she works in a very large salon. If I arrive and the client before me was late, she will ask one of the other stylists to shampoo me so I get some service while she is finishing up.You may ask you stylist if someone else can start on your shampoo and detangling. Or give them your cell phone number/pager and tell them to call when they are closer to scheduler. Or walk out and tell them that if this happens just one more time, you will find another stylist. Most salons try very hard to keep on schedule and sometimes it is not their fault because the clients don't show up on time either. So give them the benefit of the doubt but also find a solution for you that works.Best wishes,Karen> Tomorrow is my monthly appointment with my stylist and> I am dreading it. He is never on time.
