I am trying to grow my hair out. I cut it real short during the summer and now I regret it. I have heard that getting your hair trimmed everyonce in a while is good for your hair, but everytime I get it trimmed, they take too much off. I always tell them to take a quarter of an inch off, but it always ends up the same length as it was when I first go it cut. Any advice???

You could try trimming every 6-8 weeks instead of every four weeks or less. Logic: if you trim too often, the hair would always be at that same length no matter how much it has grown.
