I have curly hair and spend at least an hour every day straigtening it(with a straigtening iron). I'd like to find a faster and easier way to do this. I've seen relaxing kits for African americans in stores...but I'm white and I don't know if that would work or be safe for my hair. Does anyone know if they make them for whites....or can they do something at a salon? Please respond.

I have very wavy hair myself. At last! Someone with the same problem! I have shoulder length hair and I spend a long time with the hairdryer after every wash!I have tried a product called WellaStrate. They sell it in my country (Singapore) in pharmacies. It costs only about $11 a tube and is easy to apply. You just apply it like how you would apply a cream dye, comb through and leave it for 20 minutes or more.It straightened my hair, but my bangs were still a little wavy. My hair got very dry afterwards though. I have stopped using it.There's another method of straightening called relaxing. It can only be done in salons and it's a little more costly. But it straightens with less damage.Hope I have been of help- if you hear of any other methods, be sure to let me in on them!
