I am 40 with very fine, and constantly thinning hair; just below the shoulders. As it becomes finer and thinner, I am desperate for some styling ideas! No local stylists have offered any suggestions at all...everyone tells me what NOT to do but please send me your ideas of what TO DO! Thank you! :)

Thank you! :)To further clarify my above request, my hair is a bit dry, somewhat limp and I am willing to change lengths...I'm specifically looking for a good cut with easy maintenance. I'm a bit old-fashioned and prefer a soft, feminine look. Please save the product advice as I've read the previously posted articles...just need an idea for a cut/style! :)
