I have very wavy hair, and I'd like to straighten it at a salon, however I don't know if that would damage my hair severely... I also have a flaky scalp, and I am wondering if the chemicals will make it worse. Do I straighten it, and then get a haircut, or visaversa? If anyone has any tips on whether I should take any precautions before going to the salon, like deepcoditioning hair/not using silicone based products, I would really appreciate it.Also, after straigtening how long do the results last, and do I have to blow dry my hair straight, or will it air dry OK?
