This should take into consideration the OVERALL IMAGE of the client, not just from the "neck up". This MUST BE a two way conversation with input from both the stylist and the client as to 2), WHAT you as the client has in mind for your hair, YOU MUST BE HONEST! with your stylist. Try to bring a picture of what you are wanting. 3), Will your hair be suitable for the style you have chosen? 4)Can you do the required "styling" for your new look yourself? 5)Technical Stylist Skills required to do the adaptation of a style to the clients needs. This I have listed last (I know I will catch a lot of flak over this from other stylists), but, there are a multitude of questions to ask(both from the client and the stylist to get the desired results, and these few will not cover nearly all the ground here! One last tip, NEVER! NEVER! go get your hair cut when you are mad about something or someone! Your mood will change a lot faster than your hair will grow back! william
