For about five years now I've been wearing my hair up in very tight ponytails. Lately, I've gotten worried about how thin the hair at my temples is. I was just wondering if my hair will grow back or if it is permanently lost.

Yes..unfortunately, there are documented cases of permanent hair loss due to tight ponytail wearing for extended periods of times. The good news...if the hair is discontinued being put into a tight ponytail or tight style for an extended period of time, the hair usually will grow back after time. However, once the hair starts thinning and keeps thinning for any amount of time, if the hair is continued to be put in a tight style...the loss may be permanent. So stop right now and give your hair a rest and you should be OK.Best wishes,Karen> For about five years now I've been wearing my hair up> in very tight ponytails. That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)

"Grow hair in 12 weeks" is great ( http://riquette.com/hair-scalp.htm - http://riquette.com/hair-scalp.htm ). Just the hair & scalp shampoo got most of my hair back. I was loosing it all over but mostly on the back of my head. It know it's devastating at times. The shampoo's are cheap to make. Riquette (women who wrote the book)is incredible. Also I bought the Fabao 101D (www.fabao.com). Pricey, but seems to be working with the hair & scalp shampoo. Be well,Mark
