I hope someone can help me out: Has anyone had any problems with Aveda's new Purefume Brilliant shampoo? I didn't the first time I used it, but now seem to get some little one inch "fuzzy" pieces of hair that seemed to have broken off after using this product-also, the second time I used it, a few strand seemed to have broken off...I haven't used the corresponding conditioner, but have used others-ANY ADVICE?

Wow! I have used about all Aveda products extensively except the Brilliant Shampoo and Conditioner. I find it hard to imagine that any shampoo would do that. I would not rule out some other source causing that problem and it would be wise to look in depth to what may have caused it as I'm sure you want to prevent any further breakage. Use something else for awhile and see if the problem persists.

Hi,I have used the Purefume Brilliant and not had any problems with it. Actually I have used lots of different Aveda products and have not had any problems so I a couple of things are possible.1. You may be personally allergic to something in the Purefume Brilliant or your hair just may not react well to the formula. I have used other products that made my hair get very dry or brittle but never fall out.OR2. You have have had some other type of hair reaction to something else going on. Are you taking any new medications? Are you having some new stressful events?Of course the first thing to do is stop using the Aveda and keep monitoring the situation. If your hair continues to break off...please see your physician or a dermatologist that specializes in scalp or hair conditions.Unfortunately a lot of different things could be at play or it could be as simple as your hair/scalp/body not reacting well to something in this particular Aveda.Hope that helps. Let me know if you have more questions.Best wishes,Karen> I hope someone can help me out: Has anyone had any> problems with Aveda's new Purefume Brilliant shampoo?> I didn't the first time I used it, but now seem to get> some little one inch "fuzzy" pieces of hair> that seemed to have broken off after using this> product-also, the second time I used it, a few strand> seemed to have broken off...I haven't used the> corresponding conditioner, but have used others-ANY> ADVICE?

That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)

Hi again,Just thought that I would clairfy in case anybody else reads these posts, that my hair is not FALLING OUT, several strands have just broken off so I can just see a few inches of the hair left behind. In other words, it has snapped off but not at the roots. Thanks for the advice - I'm steering clear of this product,Holly
