they tell you to use a pomade, or wax, to get meg ryan's shagged piecey layered look. I have very thick hair and have been applying the pomade just like the stylist told me, but I can't get the layers to seperate. Can someone tell me start to finish how to achieve this look?

> Someone please post some suggestions! THis is also a> look I have been trying to get!> Thanks> ReginaTo Regina; The cut that you are talking about is cut in a million different ways, but if it is cut in horizontal layers or 'panels' with the ends very softly chipped into it will retain its 'chunky' look but with the softness that is required to look feminine. Use a light hold gel to style with, while pretty damp, don't overdo the blowdrying, combing or brushing. If it is cut right and your hair has enough body or bulk(thickness), it should fall into place with a toss of your head and a tousle with your fingers. If your hair is not thick, a soft body perm(very soft please) may be needed, to keep it from looking thin and flat. Also, did you get the multicolor lowlights/highlights that we discussed, and how did it turn out for you? william
