I color my hair with L'Oreal's Mega Reds, med intense red copper. I would like to be able to use the Shades EQ in between my permanent color applications. My question is...............what color (or colors) of Shades EQ can I use on my hair that will closely match my color? TIA

TIAYou could use a mix of bonfire and the other red color together.If you want a more coppery look, then mix 3/4 bomfire to 1/4 of the other ed. I am sorry I can't remember the name. If you want a cooler red then mix the opposite. Just remember, the shampoo take atleast 2 or more shampoos to really deposit color.

TIATo Stephanie;I do not have a Mega Reds chart, but your stylist should be able to mix Bonfire and probably Terra Cotta to get the result that you want. Your hair will be the "swatch" to match to. william

Actually I am a licensed hairstylist also but I have never been any good with color.:((I thought about Terra Cotta and a little bit of Rocket Fire (I like my hair red).:)) The L'Oreal I use now, even though its say copper in it, is more of a red red rather than copper. I have been coloring my hair red for 5 years now (every thing from burgundy to auburn) and this is the only red that I have found that I truly like and wanted to make sure I match as close as possible.:))Thanks so much for your help. Just remember, the shampoo take atleast> 2 or more shampoos to really deposit color.To All who use 'Shades';Be Careful when formulating with both 'Bonfire abd Terra Cotta'. These are some very dramatic colors and are usually only used in a mixture with other colors. Always do a strand test before coloring the entire head. If we are talking only the shampoos then no sweat, you will be ok. william
