The result was a strawberry blonde color that I did not want. I have tried getting it fixed at a salon 3 different times and still have had no results.The latest effort resulted in my hair being a dishwater brown which is not my natural color. I'm more of a moussy blonde.A couple of questions:1. The second time they corrected my hair, they stripped it down and brought it down to a nice color. The problem was that the color majorly faded within just a few weeks and the red was back. Would it be too much to get it stripped again if it has only been 3 months? They used something less harsh than ammonia.2. What can I do to get the red out of my hair without it turning my hair to dark blonde? People tell me my hair looks like my golden retriever's and I really want to get it back to my normal color.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.JT

Thanks.> JTTo JT;This is just a guess, but if they corrected your hair with a deposit only color, it may have faded, also many times a stylist will be gun shy of over depositing color and will over protect or over condition the 'stripped' hair between processes, preventing a long lasting color. This is addressed with the use of a lighter color or mixture of colors to be able to fully deposit the pigment, without going too dark, and 'mixing of shades to provide the proper finished color. Probably a level 8-10 ash blonde or mixture thereof will tone down the reds/golds that you don't want. Be sure to strand test.
