> What is deposit only haircolor? I only use permanent> haircolor.Deposit only hair color, can also be know as a semipermanent color. These colorants use a very milddeveloper that adds warmth, tones down unwanted warmth,or adds depth to the hair. They do not lighten the hairand then lay down the targetcolorlike a permanent color, they are designed with the low developer so you can get some wear out of them, they will gradually fade overtime, usually 4-6 weeks, usually w/o a lne separating the roots frem the colored hair, depending how much your hairholds on to it. Meaning the porosity of the hair. So youcan actually "try out" a color before commiting to it.Some semi perms. can give a hilighted effect on greyhair, or they can give complete coverage. Now, if you usea permanent color on the roots, you can use a semiperm.color on the ends, so there would be lessdamage. But,you must do a strand test first, so you willknow how long and what shade to use. Hope this sortaexplains it:)
