I have always been the type of person that never got regularsix to eight week trims because yes I thought I wanted asmuch growth as I could get. (What a mistake) I noticethat now I am trying to grow my hair I have split endsthat seems to be everywhere. And also breakage I can't seem to stop. I notice that the split end go up the hair shaftresembling fuzz If you know what I mean. Although, I have cut my ends to resemble healthy ones I still see them. Can split ends be saved without cutting all your hair offor all your hair to the point of no split ends. If so How?And is there a product specially made to stop or reducebreakage.Your help and suggestion are welcomed.

I am sorry trey, but i am pretty sure that there is no way to "mend" split ends. In the past, I have had terrible problems with split ends which were very noticable. I don't know what you mean by cutting them to "resemble healthy ends" but i used to try to cut off one of the split "tails" and that was a horrible failure because the remaining end, while not "split", was very thin and fragile, and the hair prone to splitting further up the hair shaft. i find that split ends must be cut off completely. Either you or a friend (if you can't reach shorter pieces in the back) should carefully examine your hair for split ends and then with a small pair of scissors carefully cut that one hair just above the split. it is helpful to take a lock in your hand and bend it gently so the split ends "pop" out. sorry this was so long, but i hope it helps.
