you don't have to but it makes your hair softer and it's good for your hair.

I do and alot of other people on this forum do as well but it's all up to you.It's good for keeping your hair moisturized.

Thick? Not really. It's not creamy like a lotion, but its greasy kina. Like the same texture as vaseline(petroleum jelly). | Yea that one, i meant thick as in thick compared to stuff like pink oil. I never knew you can use that,i'll probly be using it a s a sub.
