Hi,I need help. I am a guy with a bob style that turns under just below my ears. I am letting my bangs grow out and they are just below my nose (if you pull them down). My hair is thick and I want to lighten things up a bit. I am thinking about adding some layers but I don't want layers that are short and plentiful just a few here and there so that I can brush my hair back and have a little feathering. I don't know what type of layering would look the prettiest or what to tell my stylist. I have heard of graduated layering. Does anyone know how to explain this technique? Also, I have seen some girls with bobs that appeared to have a kind of latering that looked like the stylist just took a small section of hair in various spots and chopped a little off. Does anyone know what this is called and how to describe it? I have also heard of uneven layering. Can anyone tell me what this is. I am going to get a trim next week and I need to know what to tell my stylist and describe what I want. She is really good about doing my hair the way that I ask her to. Any suggestions/comments/advice would be appreciated.Thank you.

Jamie :)
