It seems like every leave-in product I use on my hair always leaves it feeling sticky and tangled and when I brush my hair it sounds like I'm breaking it. I'd just like to know what ingredients to look for that are coating the hair and is there a texturizing cream or conditioner that simply moisturizes and really does leave your hair soft and not stiff. I've tried Infusium, Citreshine, and Potion 9 and they all leave my hair feeling like I coated it with hairspray. I feel like I need some kind of leave-in product since I haven't been able to find a regular conditioner strong enough to fix my damaged hair. Thanks!

Hi there! Most leave in conditioners conatin fixatives (look for PVP or acrylates coploymers) and this is why your hair feels sticky-- it's actually like a mix of conditioner and spray gel. If you have read any of my posts before, you will know that I am not a fan of leave-ins, rather i prefer to use a very small, pea sized amount of my regular conditioner as my 'leave in'. I have been doing this for years and it works very, very well. I get better conditioning benefits that a reg. leave-in, but without any sticky, coated feeling. I think that you should give it a try. Best of luck! PS- I also have damaged hair and loose curls, so I think this would wotk for you, just be judicious about the amount that you use.Sherry~> It seems like every leave-in product I use on my hair> always leaves it feeling sticky and tangled and when I> brush my hair it sounds like I'm breaking it.
