My hair has been breaking but it was previously relaxed and colored. Will I cause further damage if I give it a resting stage for about 3 months? I was thinking about getting it braided. Could I cause more damage to my hair, if I do this.

Could I cause more> damage to my hair, if I do this.I think that your hair is breaking because it can not handle all the chemicals that are in it. You should consult the problem with your beautician. Allow he or she to determine what the problem is. I think your hair will need hot oil treatments and a lot of conditioning. If your hair is weak when you put braids in you may do some more damage. When you take braids out some of your hair comes out also. Trust me, I would know. But, I think it is best if you see your beautician and have he or she look at your hair texture and see what the problem is.
