I have long hair to the middle of my back. Now that summertime is almost here I will be spending more time in the sun. Is sunscreen damaging to hair? Since it tends to make hands greasy, is it wise to keep the hands away from the hair?I also have noticed that some shampoos contain a sunscreen. Is this something I should look for in a shampoo or does it make that much difference?Thank you in advance for your comments and advice!Kent

The problem with sunscreen hair products is that there is no scientific info about them. Skincare products with SPF are regulated by the FDA and are required to be effective but hair products are not. Shampoos would not have any effect but you might try a leave in product and see is it changes anything. But the only prooven approach is to put hair under a hat.
