I need to get about an inch trimmed off of my waist length hair. Do you think Supercuts would be an OK place to go since the cut is simple (no layers, etc.)? If anyone knows a better place in San Francisco that is not too expensive, let me know. Thanks.

Serena,I don't live in San Francisco but maybe if you look in the yellow pages there might be a Goerge Michael salon or some other salon that specializes in long hair. Hopefully they won't cost much more than Supercuts. If not, make sure you take a ruler (no joke, this is advice I read)and make sure the stylist KNOWS what you mean by an inch!Hope this helps,Holly

Thanks.Unfortunately, chain salons have gotten a bad rap.Its not the shop its the sylist.I've wrked in high end as well as chain salons and found there's good stylists in both. There's no difference in my 26.00 haircut verses my 11 haircut but I have more hour flexibility and benefits.

I think supercuts would be ok to get a haircut. Just make sure that whomever cuts your hair that it is understood(look them right in the eye) that you want only 1 inch taken off and you mean it. Tell them you don't care even if it makes your hair uneven by only getting an inch taken off. (They will say anything so they can chop off more). Another advice is to have them cut your hair when it has been already washed and dried. So wash your hair before you go and blowdry it. This makes it easier for them to cut off just one inch.
