moisturize (regular conditioner after every shampoo, leave in after every regular conditioner, and deep conditioner once a week), and never brush! to detangle, just comb your hair out while your conditioner sits on it, then rinse and dont brush or comb again or you will pull out the curl. for extra frizz control, mix the leave in conditioner with some gel or grooming product. good luck!!! :)

I have to agree with the moisturize part-use a good conditioner after every shampoo and a deep conditioner at least once a week, maybe more if your hair is really dry. The moisture helps keep the frizz down. If I don't condition my hair I might as well not wash it. Some people say don't wash your hair every day. I can't do that. I have to take a shower and wash my hair every day. It's a personal thing. Anyway, I don't like leave in conditioners. My hair is thick, heavy, coarse, and curly. It frizzes when I don't use products, but leave in conditioners weigh it down, and pull out the curl. In fact, to many of any type of products weigh it down. After I condition (while it is wet) I apply a single product-mousse in the winter and gel in the summer (the more humidity the more hold I need). Then I scrunch it to set in the curls, and I don't touch it until it's dry. Right now I'm using Paul Mitchell Super Sculpt Gel. It's a good gel, but I am sure that I can find something that will work better with my hair. I am having almost no bad hair days since I found www.naturallycurly.com Everyone there has curly hair, and curltalk has helped me with my hair so much. Before, one out of every three days was a hair disaster, now, I am happy with my hair almost every day, and have a contant stream of advice and recommendations for products, styles, and stylists. I hope you visit soon-Renee> moisturize (regular conditioner after every shampoo,> leave in after every regular conditioner, and deep> conditioner once a week), and never brush! to> detangle, just comb your hair out while your> conditioner sits on it, then rinse and dont brush or> comb again or you will pull out the curl. for extra> frizz control, mix the leave in conditioner with some> gel or grooming product. good luck!!! :)
