I'm looking to try a new shampoo/conditioner combo, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions? I have color-treated(lightened), fine yet abundant hair that tends to be somewhat dry yet can get weighed down easily. I've tried many different shampoos/conditioners, among them Phytocidre, Phytojoba, Phytosesame, Artec , Alterna Hemp Seed Shine, and Aveda, but despite these supposedly being some of the best, I don't feel that they done much for my hair, especially Aveda conditioners, which in my opinion are awful! Does anyone have any recs on others to try? I was thinking about trying Rusk Sensories or even Biolage, which I haven't used in a long time. Thanks!Kara

Hi, Gosh I'm posting up a storm tonight! Like you, I have fine, dry hair and have used many of the products you mentioned with pretty much the same results. Here are a few products I like: KMS NEFA Shampoo with pretty much any of the following conditioners, but I especially like it with Sebastian Laminates conditioner. Mind you, I'm going for a very smooth, sleek and straight look. So I want moisture for my dryness, a bit of weight to get rid of any tendency to puff (as opposed to volume) and absolutely no stickiness. I also like Rusk Calm Shampoo and Smoother Conditioner (Those names might be reversed, I haven't used them in awhile) as well as the old standby, ARTEC Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner. Right now I'm trying my NEFA shampoo with L'anza repairing conditioner (tomorrow). Oh, here's my favorite tip. Pre-condition with Olive oil even for a few minutes before you shampoo. If I can't leave it in very long, I'll just let it sit and soak in while I brush my teeth and lay out my clothes or make coffee, then I jump in the shower, and wash with a moisturizing shampoo. I like to finish with a smoothing-type shampoo with some silicone to seal and smooth the cuticle around any oil that may have absorbed. Looks great. Good luck.
