Hi, this question is for WILLIAM, or anyone else who has an opinion! My natural hair color is ash brown. I have it highlighted with blonde highlights and I want it lowlighted with my natural color. My stylist uses foils and puts both the bleach for the blonde and the color for the lowlights on at the same time, alternating. My brown color never gets to the shade I want. I'm wondering if she foils the front first, then the back, won't the front get "done" more then the back if all the foils are taken out at the same time? Why isn't the color of the lowlights "taking"? Should I go two separate times, one to get my lowlights only, so the color stays in long enough? The next to get my blonde highlights only? Hi there!I am in the EXACT same predicament as you are, so don't feel alone :) I get pretty frustrated too! I think it is that stylist don't want to apply ashe colors-- they are always talking about warming things up..... I guess it could be the your stylist is only using a temporary color on your hair and that is why it is washing out, or maybe she's trying to choose a color that compliments your highlighted hair best, instead of using your natural color. Also, when my stylist dooes my blonde foils, she uses a high lift color, and I beleive it has a built in timer in it-- I guess the best thing for us BOTH to do is to talk to our stylist the next time we visit!!!
