Date Posted: January 12 2000 at 4:56am Can anyone tell me why over the last couple of years my hair has a "burned" smell whenever I go to the hairdresser? I have chemically straightened hair that I have blow dried and curled when I go to the salon. But, when I leave the salon my hair will have this burned/smokey smell for a couple of days afterward.I understand that the irons are probably hot, but I've had this done years ago, too, and it didn't smell like this (yecht!). My diet hasn't changed much either, so I'm baffled.Any ideas? Replies:
