Hi everyone...I just wanted to say a couple of things and maybe get some advice which i really need at this point...I used to buy supermarket shampoos, namely the Johnson baby shampoo which everyone said was very delicate, and the L'oreal Normal vitamin conditioner for all types of hair...one day I said to myself since I've always been a hair maniac, let's go buy and try out some other products, non-supermarket...so I went (it sounds like a fairy tale huh?), and bought a couple of products at a herbal shop, both a shampoo and conditioner...After using them for a while I realised that the supposedly really good for you herbal shop products were actually pathetic...I e-mailed karen and she said that the conditioner contained very very bad ingredients, which it did according to Aubrey's book, and the shampoo was something strange because it was supposed to be something against extra hair-loss...results : since i've been using these products (1 month now) there hasn't been any change at all in my hair loss (which i suppose is normal - it isn't pathological), and my hair snaps really easily, that when i wash it and dry it I get LOADS of these really short hairs around the bathroom...which I guess are snapped strands. I'm also currently using a leave in restructurising conditioner (which seems to contain decent ingredients except for IMIDAZOLIDINYL UREA) and I cannot say if it's bad or good since the hair seems to snap after the shampooing and before the drying and when I apply the leave in product. The effect i hate is that I get this frizzy 'STATIC' effect around my head, which are the snapped strands that curl up and it is REALLY annoying. As I said i had it before aswell but no way near as much as it is now..could it be the summer / sweating? The shampoo? Whatelse? I have definitely scrapped the shampoo and conditioner and after consulting Aubrey's book (since I can't find Aubrey products here in Italy, and ordering through the net is a hastle, especially for my credit card), I came to the conclusion that I had to use salon or supermarket products which had the LEAST amount of the bad ingredients Aubrey talks about...(and Karen aswell..which I thank for her help), and actually found that the best conditioner was the one I used to use, namely the L'Oreal vitalizing conditioner for all types of hair, which contains practically none of the ingredienbts on Aubrey's 'bad' list, except for one PARABEN. That setlled...as far as the conditioner goes...now comes the shampoo...I ask this...What do you think of JOICO products...they're expensive salon products and my hairdresser gave me a bottle of KERAPRO which is 'conditioning shampoo for normal to dry hair', whcih I haven't tried yet. Any opinions?Should I keep on using the Restructurising leave in conditioner? (I would like Karen especially to answer this one...)And most importantly...how do I get rid of this STATIC frizzy effect where loads of strands are shorter than the rest...?Any advice on drying aswell? Anything? Please help I get really frustrated when I have hair problems since I really love my hair and it topok me 5 years to grow it to derriere length...THANKS!!!Diego
