My hairdresser says that it does NOT containe lye, but that it contains lithium. It is supposed to be more mild than a typical lye or no lye (which still has lye in it) relaxer.She has been using it on my hair for a year now and I notice that my hair does not break as much as it used to. I DO notice that it is a little drier and more course, though.Anyone else have any experience with this product?Thanks for the input. - - - Mimi
