I have a real problem with my hair and I am really hoping someone can help! After cutting my hair short because of a VERY bad perm it has finally grown out long enough that I can wear it down again, but the problem is that I have these hairs(just on the sides, not the back)that are whitish on the ends. They look like flyaways, but the lighter color on the ends make my hair look terrible! My hair is a chestnut color and it really shows. I cant trim them off because they are scattered throughout my hair.I dont want to cut my hair short again because the problem isnt all over.Does anyone know what this could be or how I can fix it? Maybe dying it to cover it up? This is really depressing me, I waited SO long to grow it out and now this!Any thoughs or advice would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you so much Lisa

Hi,Well, you could either go to your hair dresser and have him/her dye the affected area(the hair around the sides of your face) to match your hair color, or you could set aside a time (about 30 min.) every day to cut off the white tips until they are gone.Erika

I have never had my hair colored before and I am worried about damaging it. I had not even thought of just getting the bad parts dyed in my natural color. Thanks for the good idea...now if I can just get up the nerve to go see a stylist. I am embarresed about how my hair looks. Thanks again! Lisa
