Remember me? Orange hair + Stylist + Ash Brown with Beige Highlights added = Mess. So, back to Stylist + Light Toner added + Darker Reddish Temp Color added = Better, but not what I wanted to begin with (a very light golden brown or dark golden blonde color).Well, I thought I owed you an update after how kind you were to try to help me with this. After the temp color all washed out, I was left with a lighter brown color; not bad but still darker than what I wanted. I purchased a Level 9 Light Golden Blonde color and when I did the strand test it was a reddish and even darker color than my current color. I didn't know which way to go next, so I bought a Lightest Ash Blonde color with 30 volume developer, and added a red/gold drabber to the strand test mixture. The result was close to the color I have now, but ever so slightly brighter and redder. (I don't want those red or brassy tones at all; maybe more drabber needed?) I've done so many strand tests (did a few others experimenting with time and different vol. of developer)that it's a good thing I have layered hair so you can't notice all the 3 inch strands I've been cutting off.I'm at a loss at this point. Have any suggestions? Even if I give up the idea of going lighter, like I wish I could, and decide to keep the color I have now, it seems that I have to do the Lightest Ash Blonde color w/ 30 vol.+ drabber to get it, and I need to do something since I have about an inch of slightly darker roots showing now. I'd love to know what your thoughts are on all of this. I value your opinion. Thank you for your help!

Is it a combination reg/gold or two different ones added?To cancel the red a green drabber is used and to cancel the yellow/orange a blue to blue-violet is used. By the way don't cut the test strands off! Do them on underneath layers. Please remember that the porosity of your hair has everything to do with how deep the hair 'takes' or the color is deposited into the hairshaft, this is why it went darker than you expected. Lets keep working on this until we get it fixed!william
