Hi,

Just found this site while surfing. I am in a dilema. I have not seen my hairdresser in almost 2 years, growing my hair to about 2" past my waist.

I need to do something with the ends. They are starting to split & I do not want to get them cut. Are there any products out there that can fix this?

My friends & BF do not notice because my hair is very thick & has a wave to it, but about 6" up from the end it comes out when I brush.

Please help!

TY
Kyrie

The only sure cure for split ends is to cut them or they will travel up the entire hair shaft. A very good technique that will remove the split ends without losing length is to twist the hair in small sections (about an inch or less). The split ends will then stick out. Using a small pair of scissors, trim the splits just above them to keep them from spreading up the shaft. Twist in both directions to be sure you get them all. An excellent natural conditioner that will work wonders on dry ends is Monoi Oil. You may be able to find it at your local health food store. The Long Hair Lovers site ( http://www.bbahneycomm.com/longhairlovers/monoioil.html - http://www.bbahneycomm.com/longhairlovers/monoioil.html ) sells an excellent version and has very good tips on growing your hair. Good luck and happy growing.
