I have curly hair and I have tried numerous ways and products to straighten it, but whenever I get something like a straightening balm or lotion, you can see the white residue left over if it wasn't perfectly blow dried. I have dark brown hair so it is very easy to see. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what product would work without leaving the white residue. Thanks for your help.

Don't you find it very time consuming to blow dry with straightening balms and lotions? I am considering putting a straightener in my hair to cut down on style time, but two straightening products that I've used in the past are Str8 by Rusk and Straight-Line by L'anza. I also have dark brown hair and have never had a residue problem with either of these products. Good luck!
