Hi,I enjoy reading this board very much so I thought I would post for the first time and ask for advice with my hair coloring question. For the past 6 years I had been having my hair lightened from my natural color (medium brown) to an ash blonde. It was really drying out my hair ends and I got sick of the roots, and the expense at the salon every 4 weeks. I decided to have my hair colored back to its natural color (medium brown), which I had done gradually over a 4 month period. My hair is now medium brown and I am quite happy with the color. The question I have is, I need to continue coloring my hair as I have a couple of gray hairs on the top of my head. I want to keep the same color (medium brown) but need to hide the gray. Would I be better off going back to the salon to color my hair, or is this something I can do at home? I have never colored my hair at home before and could really use some advice. My husband and I are trying to save money for a house so it would be nice if I didn't have the salon expense, however I don't want to ruin my hair.Any advice you can give me would be much appreciated.
